Techno-optimism and techno-pessimism as socio-psychological phenomena

On June 1 professor Nestik T. A. took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report on "Techno-optimism and techno-pessimism as socio-psychological phenomena".


The report was devoted to the role of socio-psychological and cultural factors in shaping the attitude of the individual to new technologies. Perspective directions of socio-psychological research in the field of the attitude of the individual to new technologies were presented. The speaker singled out interpersonal, group, intergroup and societal factors for the formation of technophobia. The results of empirical studies of the attitude of the individual to new technologies were presented.
