Competitive and Assessment Procedures
Faculty Competition: developing the page of the ongoing faculty competition on the HSE University website; compiling competition lists; organising all stages of the preliminary activities of the faculty competition (up to voting at the meeting of the HSE University Academic Council); interacting with managers of the relevant HR commissions and with participants of the competition; consulting on participation in the competition; preparing statistical and reporting data, information materials; amending HSE bylaws regulating the competition selection
Attestation of faculty members with academic tenure: organisation of attestation
Assessment of tutors: administration of tutor assessment; compilation of statistical and reporting data, reporting information materials; amending HSE bylaws
Re-admission of affiliated employment faculty members: organisation of the annual re-admission campaign
Approval and signing of personnel documents: approval of applications and official memorandums; approval and signing of personnel orders in accordance with authority
Best Teachers: setting bonuses based on the results of Best Teachers voting
Affiliated Researchers: administration of the Russian Affiliated Researchers registration process
HSE University Hosts International Conference on Current Issues in Language Education
The HSE University School of Foreign Languages has held the second HSE LED Conference devoted to exchanging research and professional experience. Attendees included academics and teachers, experts and practitioners, language-education administrators and managers from various regions in Russia and abroad. The conference was held in person and online on December 8–9.
HSE Best Teacher Award: New Rules
In April 2016 HSE Academic Council approved the new regulations for awarding performance bonuses to faculty members who are selected by students and alumni as the best teachers of the year. University bulletin 'Okna Rosta' prepared a long-read about the history of the project and the changes in how the best teachers are selected, and The HSE Look is glad to offer the English version to its readers.
Discovering Entrepreneurship
An international Summer school organized by the HSE Laboratory for Entrepreneurship Research and the Netherlands Institute for Knowledge Intensive Entrepreneurship (NIKOS) at the University of Twente (Enschede), the Netherlands, was held this August. Alexander Chepurenko, Academic Supervisor of the Laboratory and Dean of the HSE Faculty of Sociology, told us about this school.
