‘New Life of Familiar Things’: Exhibition of Student Projects at Yandex Museum
On July 3, 2024, the Yandex Museum on Paveletskaya in collaboration with the HSE Art and Design School opened an exhibition showcasing familiar objects that have been given new forms, functions, and meanings. The exhibition features the projects of finalists from a competition organised by the HSE Art and Design School and the Yandex Museum. Visitors can explore works created by young designers and talented students of the HSE Art and Design School, who have reimagined familiar objects in the context ofmodern life.
‘Everything Evermore All at Once’: New Exhibition at HSE ART GALLERY
HSE ART GALLERY, which was established in 2018, has launched a new exhibition area. The first project in the new space opened on May 28, 2024. The exhibition represents works by more than 50 HSE Art and Design School students and graduates in Contemporary Art, Fashion, and Subject Design.
HSE Art and Design School Opens First University Concept Store
In December, HSE University launched its first concept store—the HSE ART AND DESIGN STORE (part of the HSE Art and Design School). The new space offers ample opportunities for the successful implementation of design projects and features young and promising brands from students, graduates, and teachers of the HSE University Art and Design School.
HSE Creative Hub: HSE Art and Design School Presents a New Meeting Point of Art, Research, and Business
The HSE Art and Design School has opened HSE Creative Hub,a city space in a historic two-story building on Panteleevskaya Street in Moscow. It will serve as a venue for HSE University lecturers, researchers, students, and invited experts to hold discussions, presentations, and speeches that will be open to everyone. The hub will also facilitate the development of numerous projects of the HSE Art and Design School and the HSE Institute for Creative Industries Development and allow creators to meet partners from the industry.
Third Season of HSE CREATIVE OPEN Comes to an End
On April 4, the HSE Art and Design School hosted an award ceremony for the winners and runners-up of the third season of the HSE CREATIVE OPEN international online competition. This season’s categories included Identity, Object Design, Music Release, Advertising Concept, Illustration, and Game Space.
‘We Support Young Brands and Make Them Visible’
On March 7, the HSE Art Gallery hosted the opening of ‘Design Futures: Synesthesia’, an exhibition featuring works by students of product and jewellery design at the HSE Art and Design School. The event runs from March 9–May 7.
HSE University Takes Part in VK Fest
How can ‘Polina’ help you steer a yacht? Should we demonise plastic? Why does game development have nine circles of hell? What happens when we move our eyes while reading? Answers to all these questions could be found in the ‘Intellect’ space organised by HSE University at VK FEST, where it was the only university to take part in the festival in Moscow.
