Language and Literature of Iran

The programme trains experts in Asian studies and specialists in Persian language and literature. In order to fully appreciate the literature of ancient, Middle Age and modern Iran, it is necessary to be fluent in the languages of the culture of the region (modern and classical Persian and Arabic), as well as to study its history, religion and art. The programme is designed to provide strong foundations in these areas, as well as in Arabic-Muslim philosophy and the history of the Persian language from antiquity to the present day. Graduates of this 5-year Bachelor’s programme are equipped to work both in academia and in the professional sphere.
