LG Electronics and the Higher School of Economics have announced the launch of a special collaborative educational project. A new computer classroom will provide students of engineering, industrial design, and computer programming the opportunity to study the most modern tools and methods of design using equipment designed for rapidly developing disciplines and the higher technological demands of their results. With a 21:9 aspect ratio, these monitors are currently the most conducive to solving such complex tasks at work and in school.
The challenges of the modern economy and the changing shape of industry require new approaches to engineering education. Indeed, the avalanche-like growth of new technologies in the industry requires a new type of engineer. Rising to these new demands, the HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE) offers project-based training. It is impossible to train a qualified engineer if he or she is not involved in hands-on projects. And projects, in turn, should not be envisioned within the department, but come from the real tech sector. With this approach, MIEM HSE aims to become a kind of hub concentrating on the demands of leading companies in industry and business in order to produce not just technical solutions, but specialists creating these solutions.
