The HSE Academic Council has approved the procedure and conditions for awarding the honorary status of ‘Distinguished Staff Member of the Higher School of Economics’. The document was published on the HSE website.
‘We have recently approved the honorary title of Distinguished Professor. But the Higher School of Economics is not just professors. We have people who have made enormous contributions to HSE University life, without being professors, researchers, or instructors. And we would also like to express our gratitude to them,’ explained HSE University Rector Yaroslav Kuzminov.
The honorary status ‘Distinguished Staff Member of the Higher School of Economics’ will be awarded for contributions to HSE University to employees of the following categories: those who have worked at the Universityfor 20 years or more; those who have received government or HSE University awards for years of excellent work; those with special merits awarded by HSE University; and those who have successfully headed key activities, departments, or structural units of the university.
The HSE University Rector, President, Vice Presidents, Academic Supervisors, First Vice Rectors, Senior Directors, Directors for HSE key activities, Academic Secretary, Chief of Staff, Heads of Departments, Academic Councils of HSE faculties and campuses can initiate the status assignment.
The decision to grant an employee the honorary status is made by the HSE University Academic Council. Based on this decision, the HSE HR Office prepares the order, and the information is published on HSE website.
The honorary status of ‘Distinguished Staff Member of the Higher School of Economics’ has the following features: it is conferred for an indefinite period of time and remains after an employee no longer works at the University.
