HSE President Alexander Shokhin Awarded Order ‘For Merit to the Fatherland (II Class)’

Alexander Shokhin, President of HSE University, was awarded the Order ‘For Merit to the Fatherland (II Class)’ for his great merits to the state and many years of diligent work. The decree on the award was published on the official website of the President of Russian Federation.

Alexander Shokhin is one of HSE University founders.  Since 1995 he has served as HSE President and represents the university to government bodies, international organizations, and professional and business associations. In addition, he holds the position of  President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
