The new HSE complex on Pokrovsky Boulevard is 78,000 square meters, so there is surely enough space for any kind of event, should you happen to be planning one. Below you will find information about what facilities are available and how you can use them for an event.
There are 10 meeting rooms that each seat 10-40 people (not counting extra seats) at the Pokrovka complex. Most of these rooms are located in Building G. Designed in a minimal, strictly functional style, Pokrovka’s meeting rooms provide guests the bare essentials—and nothing superfluous—for a productive meeting: long oval and rectangular tables and soft leather armchairs. Guests will find the interior suitable for meetings of any kind, including conferences, seminars, meetings, HSE employee meetings, and student organization meetings.
All meeting rooms are equipped with flat screen TVs and mobile sound systems, and select rooms are additionally equipped with projectors and water coolers. Added bonus: some of the meeting rooms have breath-taking views of the Kremlin and the Moscow City skyline.
For teachers and staff from other HSE complexes, Pokrovka offers teaching staff offices at 3 locations (G121, R410, and R508), where you can relax between classes, chat, and prepare course materials. The offices are equipped with everything you need: computers, printers, scanners, and water coolers. In addition, they have controlled access systems (SKUD) installed so that staff can access the rooms using their staff passes.
As per an agreement with the complex management and supervising Vice-Rector Vladimir Samoylenko, events can be held in the atriums and the Large Professor's Club.
To book a meeting room, the atrium, or the Large Professor's Club, fill out a request form and submit it to: BPK@hse.ru. Upon receipt of your request, the manager will get in touch with you to help you determine which room will best suit the needs of your event.
For larger events, including meetings, concerts, and conferences, the newly renovated Cultural Centre (Building Z) is an ideal venue. The CC now houses a Small Conference Hall that seats 135 people; 2 halls; a dance hall; a small coworking centre; and dressing rooms.
To reserve one of the above-listed spaces in the Cultural Centre, you must submit a special request form.
Venues in the Cultural Centre book very quickly, so be sure to check the event calendar and reserve your event space well in advance.
If you’re in the mood for a change of scenery, want meet up with friends or colleagues, or take a break in between lectures or meetings, Pokrovka has 5 ‘free spaces’: the complex offers 2 coworking rooms (N205, N206) and 3 lounges (R309, R408, R507). They are tentatively divided into two areas: one area has transformer tables for work and study, while the other has cosy beanbag chairs. In the coworking areas, guests have access to a projector and screen for presentations or movie screenings, a charging station for smartphones, as well as vending machines with coffee and snacks.
