In his new position as Deputy Vice Rector to Vyacheslav Bashev, Mr. Fedorovykh will supervise the development and implementation of HSE University competition recruitment strategy.
HSE University organizes and co-organizes numerous intellectual competitions aimed at attracting talented students to the university. They include competitions for secondary school students; university students and graduates; research and project competitions; and individual and team contests. The deputy vice rector's responsibilities will include positioning HSE at such events, determining their structure, and coordinating new forms of such competitions in line with current requirements.
Danil Fedorovykh previously headed the International Economics Olympiad, which was initiated by HSE University in 2018. He has taught in different HSE programmes. After his new appointment, Mr. Fedorovykh will remain president of the International Olympiad and will continue serving on the central methodical committee and jury of the National School Economics Olympiad.
Mr. Fedorovykh has worked at HSE University since 2009. Over this period, he has won the Best Teacher competition six times, and he has also received a letter of gratitude from Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin 'For fruitful work on teaching highly qualified specialists' and an award 'For the popularization of economics among younger generations' from the New Economic School.
He holds a bachelor's degree (2009) and a master's degree (2011) in economics from HSE University.
