In November, HSE theatre won an award for having the best ensemble at the XVI international Festival of Amateur Theatres ‘Molodye - Molodym’ (‘Young to Young’) in Moscow. The following month, in St. Petersburg, the theatre received a certificate in the category ‘Best Musical Solution’ at the student festival ‘Zachetnaya Edinitsa’ (‘Credit’).
The troupe performed Nikolay Gogol’s 1831 play, May Night, or the Drowned Maiden. The premiere took place in 2009 and, 10 years later, the new cast again performed the work, showing the diversity of Ukrainian folklore.

On December 14-15, HSE Theatre will take part in the Pokrovka Night Festival. The Performance Zone will feature a performance of Alexander Pushkin’s parodic poem The Gabrieliad (1821). Be sure to register in advance!
