Evgeny Zaev Appointed Senior Director for HR and Student & Staff Welfare

Starting this September, the activities of the HSE University HR Office and the Office for Staff & Student Benefits and their compliance with the University’s Development Strategy will be overseen by a Senior Director for HR and Student & Staff Welfare. Evgeny Zaev has been appointed to this position.
Mr. Zaev’s responsibilities will include supervising the university’s compliance with Russian labour law, coordination of medical services and support for students and staff, and supervising the catering services at HSE University buildings, as well as representing the University at social institutions as an advocate for the staff’s interests.
From 2000 to 2018, Mr. Zaev worked in the civil service, and in 2018, he worked as Advisor to HSE University Rector. From 2019 to 2020, he was Vice President at Roskosmosbank. Furthermore, Mr. Zaev has been awarded by the Order ‘For Merit to the Fatherland’, 2nd Class, along with several professional awards.
