This year, the whole world is celebrating the 250th anniversary of this composer’s birth, so why would we not join in? We are expecting world class music performers and researchers, as well as, of course, lots of beautiful music. We’ll listen to excerpts from Beethoven’s works (both famous and lesser known) performed by completely different instrumentations: piano, orchestra, or choir – in what other concert would this be possible?
Participants in this event will include pianist Tigran Alikhanov, People’s Artist of Russia, Larisa Kirillina, Doctor of Sciences in History of Art and the leading Russian researcher of Beethoven, Roman Nasonov, music researcher and Candidate of Sciences in History of Art, Maria Bulgakova, singer and composer, and Natalia Surnina, spokesperson for the Moscow Philharmonic Hall.
Date and time: October 24, 2 pm. YouTube broadcast: https://youtu.be/Du_IPE43zLs
The event is taking place as part of the Open University series.
