HSE University Launches Media Archive

The HSE PR Office is launching a media archive to store university photographs. The new tool will make it easier to search for images and work with them.

The HSE Media Archive project, which is aimed at simplifying the storage of photos, was launched at the beginning of 2020 as part of the HSE Professional Development Programme for Administrative Staff. The project was supported by the Online Media and Mobile Applications Office, and in February 2021, the Internal Communications Unit started uploading photos to the archive. Students of the HSE School of Media are also currently engaged in completing the archive as part of their project work.

At present, the Media Archive contains almost 15,000 images taken in 2019–2021 by photographers of the HSE PR Office. All of the photos are grouped by topic. The site also has a search bar to streamline the search process, and users can search photos by tags and people. The website of the Internal Communications Unit features collections grouped by topic (students, HSE buildings, education and coronavirus). Visitors can download full-size pictures and use them for posts on the HSE University website with the proper accreditation.
