Degree Programmes Department Opens New Service Centres

© HSE Art and Design School

At the beginning of 2022, HSE University Degree Programmes Department underwent personnel and structural changes. Now there are two new service centres that will deal with student and teacher issues.

Student Service Centre

Irina Gogoleva
Director

Our centre will be located at HSE University on Pokrovsky Bulvar, with its official opening scheduled to take place in the coming months. Repair work is being carried out in line with the project designed by HSE Art and Design School.

At the centre, students will be able to obtain any necessary certificates, submit applications and get advice on documents, translations and other issues. We offer both on-site and electronic services: any of our services can be ordered remotely, and our managers speak a range of foreign languages.

In addition to services for students, we also interact with study offices to coordinate many other processes, including student transfers to other programmes at HSE University and from other institutions, transfers to state-funded programmes, preparing and printing diplomas, etc.

We are constantly working on our business processes and centre functions and aim to actively develop them. We hope that our services will be useful and convenient for every student.

Department Service Centre

Denis Lazarenko
Director

Our centre will focus on the following strategic goals: supporting department business processes, providing assistance to teachers in mastering Smart LMS tools, and finding an effective schedule model for our updated master's programmes, as well as new opportunities for bachelor's programmes.

The centre brings together tasks to support the curriculum planning and faculty load for the new academic year, including scheduling and creating programmes for academic disciplines. We also prepare drafts of regulatory documents, and develop educational and methodological materials and advanced training courses for department employees.

It is important to note that our centre does not exist in a vacuum, its effectiveness depends on high-quality interaction with the HSE Digital Office, and other relevant offices and service centres.

Currently, we provide methodological support for the introduction of Course Syllabus 2.0 and a service for electronic assessment records.

Our most important task for this year is to ensure the sustainable development of digital services to support the educational process. The key elements of success in this are effective communication with other departments, training to work with our new services and user advanced training, and dealing with requests promptly.
