Three Days Left to Complete Third Module TQA

Students are asked to send their feedback in the LMS ‘Assess Your Courses’ module

Teaching Quality Assessment (TQA) will conclude on LMS on March 27. TQA is an important mechanism that helps the university hear students’ opinions on the courses they’ve taken. Text comment functions have been updated for the third module: now, students can leave feedback in two separate fields on what they liked about their teacher’s work, as well as what they would suggest changing.

The Centre for Institutional Research believes that this will help process feedback in a more targeted and effective manner.

Dmitry B. Efimov
Leading Analyst at the HSE Centre for Institutional Research

‘We first tried to split the feedback into two fields in the second module, when we added a question on remote teaching. Students actively commented on this aspect of teaching, which helped the university better understand the details of its implementation. If this new feature proves to be effective, we will introduce it to other fields in the questionnaire (such as overall assessment of the course, not just the teacher). The more precise and meaningful the feedback is, the more productively the data will be processed by teachers, as well as by the administrators of programmes, faculties, and the university at large.’
