The new Centre is an HSE University pilot project aimed at creating a multifunctional venue and gradually expanding the range of services available to students and graduates. Consultations are held in Russian and English.
The service started operating on April 1, and the number of requests is gradually increasing: to date, the Centre's employees have processed more than 50 requests. In addition, since February 28, the Centre has handled requests regarding student transfers from other universities, including foreign ones.
The Centre can provide students with certificates of study, transcripts, records from electronic grade books, certified copies of HSE documents, and replacement student ID cards. In addition, the Centre’s staff can help students arrange transfers to other degree programmes or state-funded training, verify international certificates in English, make changes to personal data, and solve other educational issues. For more information about the Centre’s services, please see the website.
The Student Service Centre also has useful services for graduates, who can obtain certificates confirming their studies at the university, copies of HSE diplomas, European diploma supplements, and certified copies of documents, as well as apply for to have their individual insurance account number (SNILS) and diplomas added to the Federal Register of Data on Education Documents.
On April 4, 2022, HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov, Vice-Rector Sergey Roshchin and Senior Director for Full Degree Programmes Anna Korovko visited the Student Service Centre. 'The new Centre will reduce the load on study offices—they will mostly focus on supporting the education process, curricula, etc, but at the same time will continue to issue certificates and documents to students if necessary,' says Sergey Roshchin.
Students and graduates of all HSE University faculties can use the Centre’s services via its e-service or in person by going to entrance No. 5 from 11 Pokrovsky Bulvar, to the right of entrance No. 1 (without a pass system). Consultations are held in Russian and English.
The Centre’s workspace was designed by HSE Art and Design School.
The advantage of our Centre is that students and graduates can use its services not only on-site, but also remotely.
They can request any document through our e-service without visiting the Centre. If you need paper documents, you can submit an application for them in advance and then pick them up at the Centre. We work to make sure students get their documents promptly. Even if students visit the Centre without submitting an application in advance, our staff will provide them with advice and all the necessary documents on-site.
One of the most important tasks for us is to digitalise the process and to reduce physical paperwork. We are creating a 'front office' service so that students can submit applications electronically, rather than by hand. This feature is already available for a number of applications.
At the moment, our service is working in tandem with the services provided by study offices in faculties. We hope that the partial transfer of paperwork from the offices to the Centre will have a positive impact on business processes at the university.
We hope that our Centre becomes an indispensable assistant to students in their university life and subsequent graduate life.
