HSE University Launches Two Competitions for Early-Career Scientists

© Daniil Prokofiev

The competitions are focused on two fields: digital transformation and foresight. Both are open to research teams whose members are aged 35 or under and based at any HSE University campus.

Applications for the foresight research project competition are open until September 5. The competition aims to support new projects involving the development of forecasting tools, methods, and models, solutions to practical tasks in foresight, and the creation of foresight databases.

The winning projects will receive up to 3 million roubles in funding from the HSE Fund for Future Studies. See the competition website (in Russian) for more information.

Applications for the HSE University project competition for early-career scientists in digital transformation are open until September 10. Submissions should be related to the fields of research & development (including in digital technologies, machine learning, AI, and cyber-physical systems) or socioeconomic research (identifying, analysing, and assessing the effects and effectiveness of digital transformation for the economy and society).

The winning projects will receive up to 2 million roubles in funding. Please note that project leaders must have at least one publication in a journal indexed in Web of Science and/or Scopus (Q1/Q2). See the competition website (in Russian) for more information.

In both cases, priority will be given to applications whose expected outcomes include publishing in a journal indexed in Web of Science and/or Scopus (Q1/Q2) and/or registering patents based on the results of the project.
