Student Service Centre Holds Anniversary Contest

Submissions accepted until April 2

April 1 marks the first anniversary of the opening of the Student Service Centre. In that time, it has processed more than 30,000 requests from HSE University students and graduates electronically and more than 13,000 people have visited the centre in person. To mark the occasion, the centre is holding a contest to find the most interesting comments containing people’s impressions and wishes for the centre.

The centre issues all kinds of official documents, copies of student cards, certified copies of HSE University documents, and orders. Its work includes recrediting certificates of English language proficiency, amending personal data, transferring students within HSE and from other universities, and arranging consultations on study-related issues.

At the centre, HSE University graduates can obtain certified copies of diplomas and other official documents. The centre also assists in sending diploma information to the Federal Register of Documents on Education and Qualifications, and works with third-party organisations on issues regarding the certification of documents.

The Student Service Centre works extensively with other HSE University departments and outside organisations to make services more straightforward and convenient. For example, at the start of the academic year, the centre prepared and issued around 4,000 dormitory certificates, which simplified the accommodation process for first-year students.

Students can also request a consultation with staff of the university’s Visa and Registration Centre, as well as with Sberbank staff for assistance related to education loans. The centre recently started issuing electronic, digitally signed documents.

To mark its first birthday, the centre is holding a contest. Share your thoughts on the centre’s work or leave your suggestions for how to develop it here by April 2. Five winners will receive HSE-branded prizes. And come visit the Student Service Centre on April 3 for an everyone-wins lottery and lots of other surprises!
