The HSE University Centre for Leadership and Volunteer Work, the Blood Centre of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency, and the National Foundation for the Development of Healthcare invite HSE University students and staff to donate blood at the Pokrovka building on May 15.

Please note that people with certain conditions are ineligible to give blood. Permanent contraindications include infectious and parasitic diseases, cancer, diseases of the blood and a number of other serious conditions. Temporary restrictions can apply for different periods of time depending on the reason. For example, it is prohibited to give blood for 120 days after getting a tattoo or piercing and for 30 days after cases of sore throat, flu, or other respiratory conditions. Those wishing to give blood must bring their passport with them, and non-Russian citizens must provide confirmation that they have been living in Russia for at least one year. The Centre for Leadership and Volunteer Work has prepared a promo site (available in Russian) about the donation process for new donors.
Donor Day will take place from 9 am to 1 pm on May 15 in the building on 11 Pokrovsky Bulvar. Those wishing to give blood can register until May 14.
