Event organisers can request university-branded bottles of water from the Event Organisation Office. The bottles are designed in accordance with the HSE University style. The label includes the university’s unofficial motto ‘Non scholae, sed vitae discimus’ (‘We study not for school, but for life’). The design was developed by the Visual Communications Unit of the HSE Marketing Communications Office.
‘In recent years, we have been working on the branding of HSE’s hybrid and online events, which have been conducted on various platforms. With the return to an active in-person format, we have started to think about new areas of event branding in university venues,’ explains Ekaterina Grigorieva, Director of the Event Organisation Office.
What do event participants actively use? What do they see in front of themselves and what do they come into contact with at the table during discussions and negotiations? The answer is notepads, pens, and bottles of water. ‘We decided to open the new season of the in-person format with branding for the latter,’ she notes.
The project has been implemented under the supervision of vice rectors Victoria Panova and Vladmir Samoylenko. ‘The idea to give branded water to participants of events was supported by the university leadership and we started implementing it almost right away,’ explains Natalia Nikitina, Advisor to Vice Rector Vladimir Samoylenko.
‘Analysing the needs of event organisers, preparing documentation, solving financing matters—we got through this process quickly and successfully for the sole purpose of making events more atmospheric and leaving a good impression of our university,’ she adds.
The idea was brought to life thanks to support from the Marketing Communications Office, the Financial Office, and the Office of Logistics Support.
