On May 23, 2023, HSE University launched its new, fifth campus under the HSE Online brand. The campus has become an extension of the university in the online environment and a single access portal to a large online educational space, which helps overcome boundaries and thus solve the problems that the university faces when spreading new knowledge and new technologies.
The online campus is a digital space that features various HSE University online courses, advanced training programmes, and online programmes independent of their city of creation. It is also a community in which each participant feels like a part of HSE University, regardless of their location. In the online campus, the university interacts with students in a schedule and format convenient for them, offering them the competencies and capabilities of teachers from the four traditional HSE University campuses in Moscow, St Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, and Perm. The hosts presented the HSE University online campus in a conference format in which they explained what the online campus would consist of and shared their expert views on modern online education—and even the phenomenon of metaverses. Some prototypes of a metaverse were also presented at the conference.
The winners will be announced on December 5 at 4 pm at a ceremony in the multimedia press centre of the Russia Today International Information Agency.
