Autumn Course-Choice Campaign: Build Your Curriculum for the First Semester

Starting on September 6, HSE students can select disciplines for the first half of the 2024/25 academic year.

As part of the campaign, students choose variable disciplines and build their individual curricula:

• all students choose courses from the variable major and university-wide electives;
• first-year bachelor’s and specialist students can choose English language courses;
• second-year master’s students can complement MAGOLEGO courses they chose in summer;
• third-year students choose a minor track (if not selected in the June campaign)

All HSE students must participate in the campaign and build an individual curriculum for the next six months.

Individual curricula are formed in SmartWay, the only tool for choosing disciplines that shows the selection of courses according to the student’s individual parameters.

The SmartWay course-choice campaign is organised as follows:

1. ​​Preparation: September 6, 10:50 am–September 7, 10:00 am (MSK). Students will be able to preview the list of available courses, their schedule and details, and view selection criteria (if applicable).
2. Course choice: September 7, 10:50 am –11:59 pm (MSK). Students will be able to apply for courses, including those with preliminary selection procedures.
3. Timetable choice: September 13, 10:50 am–11:59 pm (MSK). Students can choose a timetable for the courses, as well as cancel their application and choose new courses from those that still have vacant slots.

The selection is completed when you have added a schedule to all disciplines of your curriculum.
