A Week in the Netherlands for Winning a Student Contest

In March 2014 winners of the HSE Student Research Work 2013 Competition were given a week in the Netherlands. The HSE paid for 25 undergraduate and graduate students from nearly every faculty to go on the trip.

The students went to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, the Hague, and other Dutch cities. They visited the Erasmus University and a lot of museums and sights.

The contest is held annually; in 2013 the students entered 660 works (40% more than 2012) in different fields, including in the new area of media communications. A winner in this nomination, fourth-year student Tatyana Mitsuk wrote a lively account of the journey to the Netherlands.
