HSE Publishing House is now accepting applications from HSE staff for the publication of copyright books on a competitive basis.
We can accept publication applications for textbooks, tutorials and monographs, which were previously unpublished and created by an author or a group of authors. In certain cases, there also may be collections of previously published works of an author or group of authors. Requests for translation shall not be not accepted. The recommended size for publications comes to 10-35 author’s pages (1 author's page equals 40,000 characters with spaces).
Applications can be submitted through completing an electronic form via a user’s personal account. Requests submitted from other users’ accounts will not be accepted.
The attached files should be in .zip format, while text materials should be in .pdf (scanned or created in digital form). Texts in picture format shall not be accepted.

In order to gain editing rights for your personal account, please send a request to portal@hse.ru. The applications with a ‘submitted’ status will be accepted until October 10, 2016.

Applicants should indicate their intent of using third-party materials, as well as specify the sources used (e.g., reference to a publication, website, etc.) in his/ her forthcoming book. These materials may include:
Applications should also include a description of the first publication of the author’s work (title, year, publisher) if he/ she intends to republish it. Applicants should also indicate whether they hold the copyright to a given work.
Work prepared in accordance with a selected application may be rendered through the HSE Publishing House during the whole duration of the application year and the following year up until September.
Books that are part of a series of monographs on social and economic sciences may be selected from applications for research publications. Furthermore, books for the ‘HSE Textbooks’ series can be selected from applications for textbook publications.
