On September 10-13, 2018 Professor Hein Roelfsema (Utrecht University, the Netherlands) visited the Faculty of Management at HSE – Nizhny Novgorod as part of the visiting scholar programme.
During the visit Professor Roelfsema delivered a series of lectures for students on the bachelor's and master's programmes in ‘Management’, as well as advising the faculty staff on research development.
At the lectures Professor Hein Roelfsema considered the following topics: the economics of the entrepreneurial society, agile corporate entrepreneurship, building entrepreneurial ecosystems, business strategy in the technology business, evaluation of business opportunities, product development, and entrepreneurial marketing. The lectures were interactive, with the speaker using games as a teaching method.
I would like to thank my colleagues for the invitation and the opportunity to give lectures to students at HSE Nizhny Novgorod. I hope that my lectures will not only give answers, but will generate more questions and motivate students to study the topic further. HSE students should learn to feel free to ask questions’.
‘The lecture was interesting, the cases were new, relevant and topical. In general, business model building wasn’t new for us, but due to the additional information on the interaction of internal mechanisms of the business model, and the way the Professor’s lecture combined experience and practice, I can say that at the beginning of the academic year I am motivated to examine some new resources’.
