The ‘Open Your Eyes’ Project: Collection for Nursing Homes

On October 9-11 ‘Open Your Eyes’, an HSE charity project, will be collecting items for 250 elderly people at a nursing home in Klin.

For three days HSE volunteers will collect presents on the ground floor of HSE buildings:

We invite you to get involved by donating any of the items listed below:

• Sweets (sold by weight)
• Greenfield tea (25 bags)
• Diabetic sweets (soft sweets on xylitol or sorbitol).

In addition, there are things that will make seniors’ leisure more entertaining:

• Checkers, chess, bingo, dominoes, playing cards, boarding games
• Craft kits: watercolor paper, colored paper, playdough, yarn and knitting needles/crochet hooks, embroidery kits, engravings, paint by numbers kits, etc.
• Scissors
• Glue

At the end of October the project volunteers will organize a concert and will give out the presents, flowers, and balloons to elderly residents of Klin nursing home.
