As part of a review, second year fashion students (curated by Maria Smirnova) prepared projects on the unifying theme of recycling. The results of their work are on display in an exhibition at the HSE School of Design until 27th March.
Students reconsidered the functions of a man’s shirt and made new clothes out of it. There are also moodboards, technical sketches, accessories and thematic photo-stories about objects interacting with their environment.
Among the images used is the theme of aviation - referring to the theatrical costumes of Varvara Stepanova and to the avantgarde of the early 20th century -, the complex-composition costume, reminiscent of the traditions of Japanese fashion, severe military style and Indian motifs.
The exhibition continues until 27th March in the hall on the 2nd floor (3rd floor Russian style) at the HSE School of Design,
