Dance
From January 30 to February 1, 2015, the 8th Contemporary Dance Festival ‘Power of Silence’ took place in St. Petersburg. Fifty-three dancers and dance teams from all over Russian participated in the contest. Three prizes were awarded in the ‘Solo and Duets’ nomination: for the best choreography, the best female dancer, and the best male dancer. Sona Hovsepyan was named as best choreographer, and Diana Mukhamedshina, member of the Dance Company, won the prize for best female performer.

The Latin category of the World DanceSport Federation World Championship took place in December 2014 in Bremen, Germany. Duet Ensemble, which included students from HSE Perm took home the silver medal.

Alexandra Dvoytsova, a soloist with Sona Hovsepyan Dance Company, won the silver medal at the world tap dance championships in Riesa, Germany. She scored just one point below the gold medal winner, a dancer from the U.S.
