The international symposium, held by SERU (Student Experience in the Research University) International Consortium on January 18, was sponsored by the University of California, Berkeley, the HSE Institute of Education, and Tongji University, which hosted the event. SERU-International Managing Director and IoE leading researcher Igor Chirikov took part in the event, which united over 50 representatives of universities in China, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Russia and the United States.

HSE lecturers and research fellows who plan to teach open optional courses and/or elective (MAGOLEGO) courses during the 2016/2017 academic year can submit applications until February 15.

One fifth of all disciplines at HSE are taught in English. The classes are taught both by HSE lecturers and visiting international professors. For several years now, the curriculums have been published in Russian and English. Starting this year, exchange students can create their individual timetable with the help of online tool. For full-degree students, the timetable is now also available in English.

Felix Iturriaga, Leading Research Fellow at the International Laboratory of the Intangible-driven Economy, Professor at the University of Valladolid, Spain, is currently visiting HSE Perm.

The book ‘Wandering Workers. Mores, Behavior, Way of Life, and Political Status of Domestic Russian Labor Migrants’ has been nominated for the Distinguished Scholarly Monograph Award in the American Sociological Association’s Section on Labor and Labor Movements .
