HSE University student returned from Rome on February 18. A week after coming back to Russia, he felt sick and visited a doctor. The student was hospitalized and given a test for coronavirus, which came back negative; he was diagnosed with a viral respiratory infection.

On February 21, an award ceremony was held at the HSE Cultural Centre on Pokrovsky Boulevard. Faculty and staff received medals for successful work at the university, as well as notes of acknowledgement from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
Following a directive of the Rector, 35 HSE faculty and staff members were awarded Acknowledgement Medals for their professional achievements and dedication.
