The 27th Open Camping Weekend organized by the HSE Extreme Sports Club was held on May 26-28. About 350 HSE students, staff members and graduates took part in this event.

On June 1, the International Day for Protection of Children is celebrated worldwide. HSE timed the competition ‘I draw HSE’ to mark this date. The event is held as part of the HSE Anti-versary.

The F. F. Martens International Humanitarian Law Competition has been held by the regional delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Russia, Belarus and Moldova several times. This year, HSE students from Nizhny Novgorod took part in the competition for the first time and came away with some great results.

Organized by Extreme Sports Club HSE, HSE Camping Weekend is a great chance to spend two days out of the city, meet a large number of Russian students, and enjoy the beauty of the countryside. Sitting around the campfire and singing guitar songs together is something that will definitely give you warm memories for a long time.

In the last few days, a very dangerous virus that encrypts all data on computers and demands money for decryption has been appearing on the Internet. Over 300,000 computers have been infected around the world. Computers running Microsoft Windows operating systems are at particular risk. As a result, Microsoft has released an update that eliminates vulnerability.

Volunteers from the Open Your Eyes student project (HSE) and the Joy of Old Age (Starost' v Radost') foundation spent Victory Day with 600 seniors at Rzhevsky care facility. The volunteers brought presents collected by HSE students and staff members, and organized a concert.

On April 27th,  the second ‘HSE Science Battles’ were held at the tech hub ‘Kluch’. The event brought together various participants, with Elizaveta Kuzmenko, who spoke about distributional semantics, winning the battle.
