In an interview for HSE News, Ksenia Mardanova, Head of the HSE Office for Alumni Relations and Career Development, talks about the importance of creating a campus atmosphere that graduates want to come back to, how to connected with HSE, and what graduates can do to help today’s students.

On February 21, an award ceremony was held at the HSE Cultural Centre on Pokrovsky Boulevard. Faculty and staff received medals for successful work at the university, as well as notes of acknowledgement from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The HSE Art and Design School, however, is no stranger to project-based education. The School’s curriculum has centred on project work for 8 years now. School Head Arseny Meshcheryakov spoke with HSE University Life about why his School chose this model for training future designers.

HSE University is beginning to implement its 2030 Development Programme. The first steps to achieving the new goals include major structural changes to the university’s faculties. HSE First Vice Rector Vadim Radaev spoke about the immediate plans that will be implemented in order to transform HSE.

In Russia, the school year traditionally starts on September 1 and is celbrated as a major holiday. Jan Surman, HSE University Research Fellow shares his memories of September 1 back when he was a university student.
