Educational Studies Moscow Indexed in Scopus

The decision was made by the Scopus Expert Council after a two-year examination of the journal published by HSE. The editorial board of the journal Educational Studies Moscow applied for indexing in the Scopus database in 2014 (the application process takes a long time). The Scopus Expert Council has regularly monitored the journal’s development over the two years since the application was made. There are strict requirements for paper and e-formats of the journal, as well as for the quality of research results published.

HSE and Berkeley to Conduct Joint Research

The HSE Institute of Education and the University of California – Berkeley (USA) have signed a memorandum to jointly administer an international Student Experience in the Research University (SERU) Consortium until 2020. The memorandum calls for the two universities to implement a major four-year project on higher education studies involving over 30 universities from various countries.

Indicators of Innovation in the Russian Federation: 2016

This data book presents the results of statistical surveys characterising innovation processes in the economy of the Russian Federation. The consolidated indicators showing the level of development of technological and non-technological innovation were produced in accordance with modern international standards of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and Eurostat and show the modern tendencies.

This data book continues the series of annual publications by the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE ISSEK). It also presents indicators of ICT usage by enterprises, households, and individuals. Special sections contain international comparison.

Altbach began to study education in his youth because he believed it was a key factor to bring about change in society. LIA and CInSt Hold Academic Celebration

On May 30, the HSE held a conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the International Research Laboratory for Institutional Analysis of Economic Reforms (LIA) and the 5th anniversary of the Centre for Institutional Studies (CInSt). Maria Yudkevich, director of the LIA, spoke about how and why the laboratory and centre were established, the research they conduct and what guests experienced at the conference.
