On May 7^th, the Academic Supervisor of the Higher School of Economics, Evgeny Yasin, celebrated his 82^nd birthday.

On April 20, 2016, during the XVII HSE April International Academic Conference, Michel Sollogoub, Professor at Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne University, was awarded the tittle of Honorary Professor of the Higher School of Economics.

The Iron Egg awarding ceremony has taken place at Sunlight Studio Hall club in Moscow. The prize is awarded to HSE students for their extracurricular initiatives.

Director of the Institute of Demography, HSE, Tenured Professor Anatoly Vishnevsky was singled out for his outstanding contribution to Russian economic thought. The prize giving ceremony was in Moscow on 12th November.

On October 16, Roll Hall was the scene of the annual meeting of HSE graduates for the HSE Alumni Awards ceremony.

On May 7th 2015 HSE’s Academic Supervisor Evgeny Yasin celebrated his 81st birthday. There’s hardly a soul in HSE who needs to be told just how much Professor Yasin has done for the university. He isn’t only the initiator of research at HSE. It is thanks to him, and some like-minded people, that the university actually came to life. What began as a university for graduates, has rapidly, and uniquely, become one of the top universities in the country.

As we celebrate this year’s anniversary of HSE, we will not recall everything that has happened with the university since it was founded; its milestones have been recounted numerous times already. We will instead tell you about the most important things that have happened this year.

The Higher School of Economics will be 22 on November 27. Evgeny Yasin and Alexander Shokhin would like to congratulate the university on this.
