7th International Russia Longitudinal Monitoring Survey of HSE User Conference
7th International RLMS-HSE User Conference will be held online on May 23-24, 2025.
Organizers: National Research University “Higher School of Economics”, Moscow; Research Center “Demoscope”, Moscow; Institute of Sociology of FCTAS Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow; Carolina Population Center, University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, USA. The conference is organized in the framework of a research grant funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (grant ID: 075-15-2022-325).
For fifteen years, leading scholars from around the globe have been convening at the RLMS HSE user conference to discuss the issues of demographic and socio-economic development of post-Soviet Russia. The seventh RLMS HSE user conference is held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the project. We invite economists, demographers, sociologists, political scientists and public health scholars to present their research based on the RLMS HSE data. Papers covering longer observation periods are strongly encouraged. Both the full texts of original articles and extended abstracts will be considered for submission (please see the guidelines for conference abstracts below).
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that previously closed variables are now available to download on the RLMS HSE website. The variables contain information on financial behavior and lifestyle choices, leisure, non-cognitive skills, use of maternity capital, attitudes towards migrants and other important issues. The full lists of disclosed variables can be found here.
Conference Program
The working language of the conference is Russian and English (with simultaneous translation).
The 7th International RLMS-HSE User Conference will be held online.
We expect extended abstracts to be between two and three pages long and describe the background, main objectives and the RLMS-HSE data analyzed.
