The 1st seminar «Estimation of the Impact of Macroshocks on Socio-Economic Processes in the Regions of Russia»
The first seminar of the Scientific and Study Group «Assessing the impact of macroshocks on socio-economic processes in the regions of Russia» took place on January 27. The participants spoke about their scientific plans that they plan to implement within the framework of the RSG. The general project for 2023 is called «Evaluation of the impact of macroshocks on socio-economic processes in the regions of Russia (on the example of COVID-19)».
The project includes two subprojects.
The first subproject, related to the study of changes that have occurred in the consumption of Russian households in the regional context, will be supervised by Olga Demidova.
This subproject includes:
Svetlana Kazakova, 2nd year Bachelor student of FES (collection and descriptive analysis of changes in consumption of Russian households in 2020 and 2021 compared to 2019),
Kim Min Gyu, 4th year Bachelor student if FES (Econometric Model Evaluation Based on Regional Level Data),
Valentin Voitenkov, 1st year Master student of FES and a 2nd year PhD student in Economics (advanced econometric analysis based on individual level data).
The second subproject, related to the assessment of the impact of preventive measures related to COVID-19, on labor productivity in the sectoral aspect, on employment and unemployment in the aspect of teleworkability, on the income of the population in the context of the demographic structure of the household, the professional affiliation of working household members, and their qualifications, supervised by Elena Kotyrlo.
