Training Video "Basic Introduction to RLMS-HSE"
The RLMS-HSE team in partnership with the Human Capital Multidisciplinary Research Center continues the series of training videos on working with monitoring data. The new introductory video covers most of the frequently asked questions. It will help to understand the main questions regarding the survey sample, navigate the structure of the questionnaires and the structure of data files. The video examines the main identifiers and constructed variables and draws the special attention of users to missing values.

Research seminar at CHEMP (6th and 13th February)
Our next CHEMP seminar will take place on February 13 at 17:00.
There you will have a chance to learn about the health shocks caused by the environment and effects that myocardial infractions have on health. The former topic will be presented by Stepan Aleskandrov, while the latter will be discussed by Lyubov Chigirinskaya (both are volunteers at CHEMP). In addition, Darya Kiryagina will also join the seminar as she will be presenting new estimations of health inequality indicators and their decomposition from RLMS data.

Research seminars at CHEMP are back! On 23 January 2019 we started off the new year with several presentations related to a major research project by CHEMP - study of cardiovascular diseases in Russia.
Seminar "What is unusual about the Russian mortality? Population-level evidence"
The 12th scientific seminar "Modern demography" was held on the 11th of December. Vladimir M. Shkolnikov, PhD, academic supervisor of the International laboratory for population and health of NRU HSE, research scientist at Laboratory of demographic data at Max Planck Institute for demographic research presented a paper "What is unusual about the Russian mortality? Population-level evidence".
How to improve the efficiency of outpatient care?
This issue was discussed by participants and guests of an international conference international conference 'Outpatient Care Delivery in the Russian Federation: Creating a Platform for Improved Health Outcomes', which was held at Higher School of Economics at the end of June.
Research Seminar: 'Comorbidity and Adapting to Chronic Conditions in Russia’
On Monday, 5th June, the International Centre for Health Economics, Management, and Policy (CHEMP) at HSE, St. Petersburg held another one of its signature research seminar series. Maria Kaneva, a senior research fellow at the International Centre for Economics of Healthcare and Its Reforms at the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy in Moscow presented her research study entitled 'Comorbidity and adapting to chronic conditions in Russia’.
