Reports of the Russia KLEMS group at the session " Economics of income and wealth"

The session was held at HSE University at the XXI April Conference in cooperation with the International Association for Income and Wealth Research (IARIW) and with the support of the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

Dmitry Piontkovski presented on “Sources of output change in Russia, 2003–2015: a method of structural decomposition based on input-output tables”, which contained the result of joint work with Eduard Baranov and Elena Staritsyna.

The session covered the  sources of recent economic growth in Russia. Particular attention was paid to the impact of demand factors before and during the crisis of 2014–2015. The analysis was carried out on the basis of supply and use tables (SUTs), constructed from the official SUTs.

Ksenia Bobyleva’s report on “The contribution of intangible assets to the growth of sectors of the Russian economy: which innovations work?” was devoted to the first assessment of contribution of intangible assets to industry. Data from Russia KLEMS were used, and the report considered extended intangible assets.
