The second open training seminar, from a cycle of four seminars, on the topic "Official Statistics for Analyzing Russian Economy Productivity"
The approaches to constructing performance indicators and the choice of statistical indicators depend on the tasks of required performance analysis. Such tasks may be associated with the study of interdependent, but not equivalent, phenomena - the development of technology, increasing efficiency, lowering real costs, optimizing production methods or raising living standards.
Another important criterion for constructing performance indicators is a system of indicators developed in national statistics.
The seminar will discuss general issues of measuring productivity, as well as the possibility of analyzing productivity using Russian official statistics. In particular, will be discussed how to ensure compliance of performance indicators and current tasks for analysis; what opportunities official Russian statistics provides today; where data and methodological descriptions are published; how official performance indicators compare with Russia KLEMS.
