Italian Researcher to Present on Regional Governance and Firm Performance

One session at the XVII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development, entitled ‘The state, regulation, business’, will feature Fernanda Ricotta of the University of Calabria, who will present on ‘The Regional Quality of Government and Firm Performance’.

Apart from the theme of the paper she is presenting at the conference, Professor Ricotta’s research covers a wide range of topics.

‘I am interested in the role of the institutional environment in affecting the performance gap between family managers and outside managers, productivity differences by export destination, and the influence of university activities on a firm’s probability of innovation’, she said.

Having presented at last year’s April Conference, Professor Ricotta is looking forward to returning to Moscow for this year’s event. ‘During my stay, I’d really like to visit Gorky Park and Novodevichy Convent’, she noted.

In addition to Professor Ricotta, her session will feature E. Soboleva (Volgograd State University), A. Abramov (HSE), M. Chernova (RANEPA), and T. Cetin (Yildiz Technical University).
