On March 17, 2015, Dr Thomas Graham, a managing director at Kissinger Associates, an international business consulting firm, spoke at a seminar on Rethinking American Foreign Policy for a New Era conducted jointly by HSE’s Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs and the Russian Council on Foreign and Defense Policy. Dr Graham has been working with HSE for quite some time, visiting the university in 2013.

On the 11th March 2015, Senior Research Fellow at the HSE Institute of Education Igor Chirikov was a guest lecturer at Harvard University. State funding for education systems fails to take popular demand into account. About 10% of state-funded places are not in areas that interest school-leavers. Addiction to love may be as dangerous as alcohol or drug addiction. A person in a dependent relationship compensates for their internal deficiency, but at the same time gradually works themselves into exhaustion. By many indicators, love addiction can be attributed as a clinical disorder that can be cured by means of professional psychological help. This discovery was made in a recent study by Svetlana Skvortskova, a graduate of the Master’s programme in the HSE School of Psychology, and Vladimir Shumskiy, Associate Professor at the HSE Department of Psychology of Personality.
