HOW TO GET

From metro station "Semenovskaya" 2 minutes’ walk to the bus stop. Then take bus №254, 469, 702 to a stop on 8th Street Sokolinaya Gora. From the stop it is a 7-minute walk to the Student Housing Centre.

IMPORTANT FEATURES

Opportunity to register foreign students at the place of residence and to register them with the migration authorities.

Average distance from the academic buildings of the Higher School of Economics is 40-50 minutes by public transport.

A five-storey brick building, equipped as a student hotel, was commissioned in 2016. A cosmetic renovation was carried out in the summer of 2021. There is a recreational area on the adjoining adjacent property, a designated smoking area as well as free car parking (approx. 20 spaces) and bicycle/scooter parking.

A secure luggage room is provided on site. There is a café on the ground floor with an organization offering a part-time meal cycle as well as located vending machines. The remaining 4 floors contain accommodation facilities. The communal kitchens with seating are located on the 2nd and 4th floors. They are equipped with all the necessary appliances (electric cookers, refrigerators and microwaves). On the 2nd floor there is a laundry-ironing-drying room (equipped: washing machines, ironing boards and irons). On the 2nd and 3rd floors there is a small co-working space equipped with tables and chairs, armchairs and sofas. There is a gym on the 4th floor.

All rooms are equipped with a supply and exhaust system.Wi-Fi connection (included in price). Cleaning of common areas (bathroom on the floor, hallway) is done daily. Bed linen is changed 2 times a month.

EQUIPMENT

Each room necessarily has a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, bedside table for each resident. There is a coat rack and shoe rack in the hall. When double occupancy the bathroom and showers are located on the floor and are accessible only with a key. When staying in a quadruple room, all the facilities are in the room (shower, WC).

SECURITY

Security at the Student Housing Centre is provided by a private security company. PSC employees are responsible for 24-hour access control (the turnstile system and ACS) and maintain security of the closed territory. Video cameras are installed at the hotel entrance, on all floors and along the perimeter of the building. The entrance area is fenced with a barrier.

The building is open for entry and exit 24 hours a day.

DOCUMENTS FOR ACCOMODATION

When checking into alternative accommodation options, you must have the following documents with you:

· Passport + a copy of the passport with registration on one sheet.

For international students:

· Medical certificate in the form of form 086u or a certificate of the absence of contraindications for living in dormitories;

· A copy of the vaccination certificate;

· Fluorography.

· VMI (https://www.hse.ru/medical/ins );

· Results of tests for HIV + Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis;
