Academic Supervisors
About
The administration of a programme is the responsibility of both its academic supervisor and academic council.
An academic supervisor is an HSE staff member responsible for the development, realization and ultimate performance of a given educational programme. This person is approved as per a directive of the HSE Rector, based on the nomination of the faculty dean for a period of four years for Bachelor’s, and Master’s programmes, and for six years for Specialist programmes.
An academic council is a collegial body, which is in charge of the programme, in tandem with its academic supervisor. In turn, the academic council deliberates and reaches decisions in regards to the programme’s academic, research and development activities.
The respective activities of the academic supervisor and the academic council are regulated by Regulations on Core Higher Education Programmes , as well as respective regulations on individual faculties and their activities.
