Diploma Supplement

The Diploma Supplement (Supplement to HSE University Diploma) is an official document to facilitate mutual recognition of national higher education certificates. It is designed to provide a description of the nature, level, content and status of the education programme that was completed by the individual whose name is stated on the original degree certificate. HSE Diploma Supplement is made in English and in Russian and is attached to degree certificates of all levels; it confirms the student’s qualifications but cannot replace the original certificate.

Diploma Supplements are printed on special security paper with several protective elements designed to prevent forgery or tampering.

As a rule, Diploma Supplements are received at the graduation ceremony, together with degree certificates. However, a Diploma Supplement issue date may be different from that of the degree certificate.

HSE issues one Diploma Supplement per graduate (full-time bachelors and masters and part-time masters). If you are an HSE bachelor’s and master’s graduate, you can receive two Diploma Supplements – one for your bachelor’s degree and another – for your master’s.

Our graduates often apply to several international universities at a time and need to submit several document packages. In this case you can obtain a certified copy of your diploma supplement or request additional copies.

To Get a Certified Copy of Your Diploma Supplement    

•  Submit an application via Student Service Centre electronic service for a certified copy of the Diploma Supplement indicating the number of copies, and include the copies of relevant documents.

Diploma Supplement Reissue

HSE guarantees a reissue of a correct copy of Diploma Supplement for each educational programme you graduated from. If you find a typo on your diploma supplement, you have a change in your surname, name or patronymic, we will make the new copy free of charge.

If you need to get additional copies of Diploma Supplement, there will be a charge for the reissue.

In order to get a correct Diploma Supplement you need to:

• Submit an application via Student Service Centre electronic service for the Diploma Supplement  indicating the reasons for application, and include the copies of relevant documents.
• Get and approve the layout.
• Get the document at Student Service Centre.

In order to get an additional copy of Diploma Supplement you need to: 

• Submit an application for an additional copy and pay the fee.
• Get and approve the layout.
• Get the document at Student Service Centre.
