Michael David-Fox Lecture on the Soviet Union’s Culture of Diplomacy
On the 13th March 2015 Michael David Fox gave a lecture on the occasion of the launch of a new Russian translation of his famous book "Showcasing the Great Experiment: Cultural Diplomacy and Western Visitors to the Soviet Union, 1921-1941".The translation is published by Novoe Literaturnoe Obozrenie - New Literary Review.
On 13th March Professor Michael David-Fox, Academic Supervisor of the International Centre for History and Sociology of WW2 and Its Consequences, presented a paper on The USSR’s Cultural Diplomacy at the centre’s latest academic seminar.
Michael David-Fox is a specialist on Post-Imperial and Soviet Russian history and a professor at Georgetown University in Washington DC. He is founding-editor of the journal Kritika: Explorations in Russian and Eurasian History and author of many books on political, cultural and intellectual history with a particular interest in transnational aspects of research.
