The HSE ISSEK Foresight Centre prepared an analytical report for the Foresight session “Russian research industry 2030” which took place at the beginning of March at the Russian Public Opinion Research Centre (VCIOM). The participants built three sociological studies’ development scenarios for the next five years and the subsequent period. The results were presented at the VII Sociology Grushin Conference, whose motto this year was “Towards the Future. Forecasting in Social Studies”.

On November 14, the Swiss Green Economy symposium took place in the city of Winterthur which gathered opinion leaders from medium businesses, politics and science. HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge was represented by its deputy director Alexander Sokolov and professor Ozcan Saritas, which was mentioned in the review of forum results by the local newspaper Der Landbote. HSE staff also participated in the seminar in framework of implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Russian Federation and Switzerland.
Winners of the international Global Energy Prize and members of the GEP International Award Committee identified key products and technologies whose development and commercialisation would facilitate intensive growth of global energy industry. That was accomplished in the course of a Foresight session with participation of HSE ISSEK Foresight Centre experts, held a day before the GEP award ceremony.
