Kazan won the right to host the 23rd annual TCI Global Conference in October, 2020. The Higher School of Economics took part in preparing the application to organise one of the largest international cluster policy events. The TCI Global Conference-2020 motto will be 'Partnership for cluster development: building the future'.

The 20th (anniversary) conference of the Association of Cluster Practitioners and Experts (TCI Network) is over; Russia was represented by Evgeny Kutsenko, Head of the HSE ISSEK Russian Cluster Observatory. 300 participants from 25 European countries took part in a joint effort to design the image of future clusters in the scope of the 2nd GROW your REGIOn conference in Valencia. Ekaterina Islankina, Researcher at the HSE ISSEK Russian Cluster Observatory, studied European experience and told the colleagues about Russian cluster initiatives, support programmes, and approaches to promoting smart specialisation in Russian regions.
The publication prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Joint stock company (corporation) “Russian Venture Company” and the National Research University "Higher School of Economics", is devoted to the results of the competitive selection of clusters participating in the priority project of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation "Development of Innovative Clusters — leaders in world-class investment attractiveness".
What kind of support innovative clusters need to become world leaders in attracting investments? What affects the success of cluster policies in megalopolises? These and other issues were discussed at the II St. Petersburg International Cluster Conference; Evgeny Kutsenko, Head of the Russian Cluster Observatory, and Vasily Abashkin, its Leading Expert, took part.
