Professor John W. Berry has been included in the recent Stanford University's list of 2% of the world's top scientists. The study analyzed data from 1965 to 2019, covering about 7 million scientists in 22 main fields of science. Most of those on the list work in Medicine and Technology. According to the list, among Canadian psychologists from all fields, prof. Berry is ranked # 3 on this list and # 1 among Canadian social psychologists.
On December 9 Anna Prokhorova (PhD candidate (political sciences), European University at St. Petersburg; Scientific Advisor, International Organization for Migration, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) took part in the "Culture matters" research seminar with the report "Political culture and migration policy in non-democratic countries of reception of migrants: how political scientists study migration policy".
On Wednesday, December 9, the National Research University Higher School of Economics hosted an Institute of Control Sciences seminar "Expert opinion and data analysis".

On December 10 and 11, 2020, the OMK-Uchastiye Charitable Foundation, which specializes in the development of inclusive culture in the city of Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod Region, held an online conference “Inclusion in a modern small town: how to make it work?”.

Vasyukov and Irina Kirilova presented their papers, "Postnonclassical Universal Logic" and "Normativity of Logic and Probability Theory in the Analysis of Everyday Conditional Reasoning", respectively at the Second conference "HOMO LOQUENS: Logic-Language-Culture". The conference was organized by the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University.
On December 4, the International Advisory Board of the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge of HSE University met for its annual meeting. It was an anniversary event, as was the X Foresight Conference that preceded it. Largely thanks to the online format, the assembled board was the most representative of the field in its history. Experts from 20 international partner centres assessed ISSEK’s activities over the past year and proposed a wide range of topics for new research.
