Management intellectualisation, synergy with AI, and the transition to microclouds are expected to be the main trends in the digital economy over the next decade. Experts in cloud technologies gathered at HSE University for a foresight session to discuss these trends and their evolution up to 2040. They explored how process intellectualisation would develop, as well as ideas for storing data in space to minimise environmental impact.

On October 21, 2025, The International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration systems (HSE University) Research Fellow Aisylu Ataeva delivered a presentation at the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Borderland Issues: New Trajectories of International Cooperation,” organized by the Institute of Geopolitical and Regional Studies at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Kaliningrad.

On 25 September 2025, the National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after N.N. Petrov of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation held a webinar on "Demographic trends and projections of morbidity and mortality from cancer".

On October 28, 2025, the International Laboratory for Digital Transformation in Public Administration at HSE University hosted a seminar by Aysylu Ataeva, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, titled “AI as a Research Assistant: Generative Models and Information Search.”

Olessia Koltsova, Director of the Social and Cognitive Informatics Laboratory (SCILa), took part as an invited speaker at the Regional Conference of the International Communication Association (ICA), held at Hefei University of Science and Technology in China

From October 21 to 24, 2025, the 23rd Conference on International Exchange of Professionals took place in Shanghai and Beijing, bringing together more than 7,000 scientists and experts from around the world. HSE University was represented by Ivan Arzhantsev, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, and Vasily Gromov, Head of the Laboratory for Semantic Analysis of the Centre for Language and Semantic Technologies.

On October 20-21, the Smirnov House in Moscow hosted the scientific and practical conference  "Philanthropy: Science and Practice  ," organized by the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation. Konstantin Obukhov, a senior research fellow at the ILSIR, delivered a presentation.

The Centre for the Study of Native Languages at Dagestan State University (DSU) is actively engaged in researching the many languages spoken by the peoples of Dagestan. The republic has 14 official state languages, many of which have their own dialects and varieties. Scholars from Dagestan plan to adopt corpus-based methods of linguistic research used at HSE University and intend to collaborate with HSE’s Linguistic Convergence Laboratory. The HSE News Service spoke with the centre’s Director, Prof. Marina Gasanova, who is currently undertaking a research placement at HSE University.
