One of the winning projects of a competition held by HSE University’s Mirror Laboratories last June focuses on the use of machine learning technologies to predict the outcomes of acute coronary syndrome. It is implemented by HSE University’s International Laboratory of Bioinformatics together with the Research and Educational Centre of the Medical Institute at Surgut State University. Maria Poptsova, Head of the International Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Associate Professor at HSE University’s Faculty of Computer Science, talks about how this joint project originated, how it will help patients, and how work to implement it will be organised.

Leading Research Fellow Evgeniy Diskin made a presentation at the II International Scientific and Practical Conference «Digital Technologies and Law» at the International Forum Kazan Digital Week 2023.

On September 20, 2023, Maria Kozlova, Chief Research Fellow of our Laboratory, defended her dissertation on the topic: "Moral regulation of ethno-cultural diversity in Russian education" The dissertation was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Sociological Sciences.

Timofey Shvaya, Research Assistant at IDLab, presented the results of the study "Evaluating the Effects of Diverse Strategies on Team Performance in the Face of Shocks".

On September 20 (Wednesday) 2023, a regular meeting of the all-Moscow scientific seminar "Mathematical Methods of Decision Analysis in Economics, Business and Politics" took place at the National Research University "Higher School of Economics".

Evgeniya Shenkman, Mariya Molodchik, Anna Daviy, Daria Semenova, Kamilla Isoeva, Irina Polyakova, Michael Usanin and Alexey Smirnov presented their reports at the conference held in Yekaterinburg on September 11-15, 2023 (REC-2023).
